That will be a fun bench to relax on. Are you going to put flagstone down around it to keep the weeds away?

Not sure yet, I did this area in secret for her, so I may see what she mentions. She did say "why did you clear a campsite?"
"Ugh, when people want to stay over and camp they can now, away from our house and yard or staying in the field only works from fall to spring....you have wanted this for 25 years..." :p

"I am making a trail system so you can walk and take dogs with you w/o walking on the road, like you have talked about, see I have listened to you"

"Thank you honey"

Womenzs :ROFLMAO:

Do plan to put down white clover, and everything can quickly be mowed, it is part of the trail I'm doing.

Hopefully next spring or late, late fall I will do a trailride on mini bikes to show everyone, it will be quicker than walking it.

I have a 1/3 or walkable, need to box blade the return path so it is more level, twisted ankles can happen now.

Been awhile, so here are some pics from last Thursday, the day before the hurricane hit, we had already gotten 3 days of rain 6+inches, we had 10 to 12 inches of water standing, it was raining too hard.
Yes,backyard isn't graded yet, been working on it.

Car tires 1/2 covered.

Got out tractor and started a ditch to get away from foundation

When it finally broke through...it washed-out my footing

And I oops, sunk

Oh wow, you went over fairly far! That's a lot of mud; how are you holding up post-storm?

We honestly were blessed, us and our son are fine, didn't lose any animals. Waiting on insurance appraiser today, we lost 1 building, crushed by trees, the other building with cnc plasma table and welding stuff needs a new roof, no power at old shop, pole broke off at ground.

Remember at top of the page the campground area?

This is the road that went up there to the shop.

Just cutting in
20240928_142322.jpg

The big one on top killed the building, still have 50 ft hanging off other side we need to cut.

No power for 6 days, kept freezers and fridge going with the 3000 watt invertor in my truck, would run it for an hour couple times a day.

We did lose everything in shop freezers and fridge.

It will take a long time to clean everything up, worst part is the assholes price gouging repairs...$5000 to put a new pole up, I will do it myself. MEC has no issues with it.

Glad you made it out in safely. Sorry about the buildings and cleanup.
Hope the insurance comes through for you.

Thanks for the update. Seems like it's a big mess all over there. Good thing you have that tractor!!!
