Few John Deere's and one Ford 3600 diesel.
I have been kicking around buying an MX4700 2wd and wanted to see what Barlows could do since I've heard so much about them. I called Friday and Brady wasn't in and another man took my message and I still haven't recieved a call back. I also emailed them this morning and still no response. Anyone know what's going on?

I spoke briefly with Brady two or three months ago as I wanted a price for a trade using loyalty cash offered by Kubota. Anyway, Brady indicated he was taking a break from internet sales for another business venture and I could contact his dad to possibly pursue a quote. I did speak with his dad a couple of times and he said they were really busy with the local hay season at the time and I could tell special orders etc. we're not on the priority list.

Well, time passed and the loyalty cash expired, so I just dropped the trade idea for now. I did two prior deals with them and they were excellent to work with...no complaints from me. They had quite a run. And I do not want to speak for them, as they may have a different way to handle sales currently that I am unaware at this time. It was just my take at the time.

Also, they may act on your request, so I do not want to dissuade your efforts or speak for Barlow's current long distance business practice. I think if you are looking for used or they have what you want in stock new they are still doing some long distance deliveries.

I did notice they pulled their TBN ad at the time and I traded a couple of emails with John Thomas to point out the ad removal and my conversation with Brady to see what John thought since he lives close by Barlow's. I'm sure he will post with a more knowledgable comment than my long distance observation

Hmmm well that's disappointing. Your post clears up my questions though, thank you! Guess Barlows is out for me. There's 2 MX4700 tractors at a local dealership. They must be rental returns because they only have something like 37 and 62 hours respectively. $600 difference between the two. I kinda don't wanna do business with them because everyone says they give off that car dealership feeling. My other Kubota dealerships don't really have anything bigger then L tractors and have tons if bx and b's.

I had spotty luck working out a deal with them last December when I traded my B for an L. I finally gave up and bought local (and certainly paid more I bet). It's too bad, as I always thought they offered a convenient way to buy/trade and their prices were awesome.

Like I said, I do not want to speak for Barlow's or dissuade your efforts, maybe they'll contact you soon. Car dealership feeling aside, the two low hour models locally sound good if the price and financing is right. Best of luck in your pursuit!

Well this isn't the first time I've tried to do business with them. Few years ago I asked for a quote via email and never recieved one. I just chalked it up to they didn't get it or something and I never followed it up. Well this time I followed up my call with an email(filled out the name your price thing on the website). Nothing. I was told Brady wasn't in Friday when I called so that's why I emailed, figured he'd check that. Wonder why so many people have had good luck with them but I can't seem to? I'm an easy customer to please too!

Just call and ask for the man himself. They will put him on the phone for you I bet.

Well the thing about that dealership I mentioned is they are famous for their "package deals". In other words you get bare bones tractor, light duty bucket, crappy implements, crappy trailer to haul it all on that's way over loaded, and they slap on a cheap price and people go wild thinking they're getting a great deal when in reality they aren't. I think they're running some promotion now where you get a free Yeti cooler or a something else with your purchase. Just screams car dealership to me. Say you want to load the rear tires or add a canopy or something, that's where they get you. Most dealers discount that or throw it in but these people will charge you out the wazoo.

I did and was told he wasn't there and he'd call me back. Still waiting.

You won't get Brady on the phone at that number. Maybe Steve

Have you bought from them before? I've bought 16 Kubotas from them and none of what you say here is true from my experience. Just because they haven't jumped immediately to help you is no reason to make up stories and imply/say they are fact from actual experience. Car dealership atmosphere:shocked: Barlows  Have you ever been there? I have many times and the mechanics, owner, parts man and customers ate out front on a plastic table beside the Coke machine with greasy hands and hay on them:)
