Based on my usage, do I need more than one rear remote?

Good day everyone,

Getting close to pulling the trigger on my first tractor. But I'm debating if I need another rear remote...which costs about $1000 (USD). Talking with the dealer, it doesn't seem like it would make much of a difference in my life. Implements that I'll be getting over time:
1) Brush hog
2) Snowblower
3) Box blade
4) Wood chipper
5) Broadcast seeder
6) Landscape rake

Might be easier to think of what implements need more than one remote. I know the snowblower you can have the extra one to adjust the angle of the chute...but I can manage with doing it manually. Doubtful that I get a backhoe...

Well, if you want control over any and all of those implements tilt front-back and side-side at a touch of your finger, then a top & tilt set for the 3pt hitch is nice. That option requires 2 sets of rear remotes, preferably having the float feature with those controls.

Do you really need them, no. You can make those same adjustments by stopping the tractor, getting off and adjusting the stock links by hand, or don't make any adjustments at all and simply call it good enough.

It all comes down to priorities. Everyone's are a little different.

You can always get a manual lever operated multiplier. Less than $300 I like mine and it was worth it for me.

Don't some snowblowers use a hydraulic circuit to rotate the output chute?

The other implements don't use tractor hydraulics.

Now that I have top and tilt, I would want it on any future tractor.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but all top and tilt is is a hydraulic operated top and side link? A manually operated multiplier is simple if you have only one remote, you can make a bracket to easily switch the circuit from your seat.

If you don't mind me asking, what tractor is it that you are considering. $1000 for a second set of remotes sounds high. Or am I misunderstanding, and the $1000 is actually for 2 sets. (2 control valves, 4 couplers)

I'd do two for the snow blower if you are going to use it a lot.
I had a single remote for years and just the "turn" function.
New tractor had dual remotes so new blower has "turn" and "tip" I use the tip function as much as the turn.

The rest of the implements on your list don't really need any remotes but keep in mind you can get a snow blower that doesn't use any remotes too.

I have to double check on that price, but it's an additional set. The tractor (MX5400) comes with one set already.

Price sound a bit high to me but I would at least have one and a multiplier. If they put the cost of the second remote back in line I would buy it but at that cost I would tell them they simply want too much.

Having multiple remotes is always a plus if you sell it, get a good deal on say a blade with hyd tilt, angle and side shift or maybe you might want to rent a Harley rake for a special project and it has a couple hyd adjustments or even come across a box blade with hyd rippers. The box blade becomes twice as useful with top/ tilt but need 2 remotes.
Plow snow? Find a good used blade that needs hyd. But you also have a hyd. shoot. With one your switching back and forth with the second you could run a line out to the loader and still make due.
