basement dug with my kioti CK30 HST and 2375 BH

Very nice and thanks for sharing this with us! Did you rent the Bobcat to make the work go faster or did you need the Bobcat to do some of the work the CK30 couldn't do?

In the end how much do you think it cost for you to do it and was it worth it (vs. paying someone)?

Thanks,

Fred

I rented the bobcat so it would get done faster. the kioti is very capable of doing the job and more, but i was running out of time to get things done. cost me $360 to rent the bobcat for 2 days. plus the fuel for both. maybe another $150 for the fuel. I think I saved quite a bit. would have been $1500 or so to dig if someone else did it. And they may not have done it the way I wanted. I have a few issues with the basement floor that they screwed up but will have to live with it. and I payed good money for it to get done and they still screw it up. heck I could have done it for a lot less and it would have been just as good if not better and I don't do concrete for a living. I didn't want to take the time to do it and figured someone that does it all the time could do a better job. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gifguess that is what I get for figureing. I just hate hiring work done when I can do it myself. just takes a bit more time.
O well it is done. I about have the decking on and dad just finished with the stairs. should be able to start on the walls later today or in the morning. mark
