how to disconnect my MF 2360 snow blower attachment from my GC2400. First time I'm doing this and all the manual say's is : "Disconnect male drive line form the subframe drive shaft." Question is how? the diagram shows that it seperates in the middle of the drive shaft. Is there a release of some kind? This is the last step in the disconnect process. I'm just not farmiliar enough with how it works. Thanks:cool::eek:

Get under the trtactor. Look for the yoke that is connected to a splined PTO shaft located under the tractor. There will either be either a botton to push on the yoke collar or a sliding collar on the yoke. Either push the button or slide the collar and remove the yoke from the PTO shaft. Do not operate the tractor with the snow blower PTO shaft seperated in half - it will flop around and tear up your tractor.

I see 4 opening in the collar as it flares out and the tractor spline is connected Two of the opening have white plastic buttons. I've tried to squeeze them with no luck. At least I know this is where i should continue to focus for it to release. will it slide foward or backwards or rotate to disconnect?

WHile i'm at it, one more basic questoin. when connecting the hydraulic hoses, do you slide the connector foward or back as you seat the male end?

On the end of your driveshaft, there is a flared end. Pull that 'towards' the center of the driveshaft, then pull backwards, at the same time.......and the shaft should disconnect. Reverse the procedure to install(uncoupling is easier than coupling).

On your hydraulic couplings, the outer parts (with the knurled edges), will pull backwards towards the hose...........do this to 'couple', or 'uncouple'. But be sure the tractor is off............and work the control levers in all directions several times to release any pressure.
