Basic questions on Yanmar EX 450

I bought a Yanmar ex 450 a little over 3 years ago new TLB setup. The only hydraulics installed by the dealer was a single power beyond kit for the backhoe. When I recently bought a log splitter for it I found out that I cannot use the 3 point lift when the hydraulics are hooked to the log splitter. My question is if this is normal. It seems OK as I can just raise the lift too the desired height then switch the hydraulic line to the splitter and it works fine. I just want to be sure I'm not damaging anything and that it was setup correctly. I know its not the splitter being setup wrong as I tested it with the backhoe and the 3 pt lift doesn't move when that is hocked up either.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer. I have a couple other real basic questions if that is OK but i'll hold off to keep this simple.

Looks like i found my answer in another old post after some more looking. Below is what I have if anyone else reads this. So Would leaving my 3 point raised with an implement while using hydraulic line for something else hurt anything?

"You can also get what some people call a power beyond setup to connect to a backhoe. This is a dealer installed and configured option and usually no two are done alike. In essence, this connection breaks the hydraulic circuit somewhere before the 3pt and offers a direct pressure connection to a backhoe or some other valve. Usually having this means no 3pt usage as the line is cut before the 3pt. As there are several ways to add this functionality, it's best to check with the installing dealer to find out how he does it. Some setups require hoses to be connected and disconnected under the tractor and maybe a loop back hose too."

That is exactly how Power Beyond acts on my Deere. You won't have any issue having the 3point raised wile using it. What you DON'T want to do is to leave the loopback unplugged with nothing connected to PB. Very Bad Situation. It will dead head the hydraulics.
