Hi all, been a spell........just inherited a Kubota L280 that has sat for a number of years. Governor shaft was stuck, got it semi fixed, now will hardly move. Would be very thankfull to know what kind of a unit I have, ie, what kind of trany etc and what are any idiosyncrecise does this tractor have, or not. Menga takk for any and all advice and comments, have a good one,

That is a "gray market" tractor manufactured for the Japanese market so it may be more dificult to find out any information about it.

Thanks for the reply, equipman, muchly appreciated, had suspicions of it being a "grey market" unit........an operators manual would probably non existant, or even a shop manual, for that matter.......would really be thankful if you could point in the right direction of either of these.......thanks again, Ron.E.

I couldn't find any info on a Kunota L280, but I did on a L2800. Is it a L2800? If so, these websites have info on the L2800. TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors or EverythingAttachments.com

Dear Sir: If it is a L2800, I have found a site that has manuals for that model. I will post after receiving your response in regards to the model.

When I was tractor shopping, I thought I came across a site that helped with gray market kubotas... Orangetractors dot something or the like.

I thought I read somewhere that a gray model would be similar to an American model...and that if u figured out which one, u could order parts for the American version, cross-referenced (sp?)...

I'm sorry all I have is "I think I read, blah blah blah,"... But that's all I got.
