Battery recommendations for F350 dually

I would say either a dirty connections or a failing starter (solenoid, starter brushes, bushing etc.). It would be a god idea to check the connections and starter anyway, whether you do use new batteries or not.

I have several 7.3's I maintain, if in doubt, get the best batteries your local parts store has, matched pair, and a new starter. Fresh starter makes a big difference. Make sure your glow plug system is operating properly also. Check out the 7.3 general forum on powerstroke.org, you'll find me there with the same screen name.

Powerstroke.org was a frequent site for me until I tested and changed the glow plugs. Had 1989 and 1996 7.3 with the same solution.
