Battery Replacement

Looks like I need a new battery for my G110. I pulled the battery out and it's labeled "BM 307/A". The only thing I can find about this battery is from the manufacturer here: Batterie Trattorini Rasaerba: Batteria BM 37/A - FAM Batterie

I brought the battery with me to an autoparts store and a tractor repair place and neither had what looked like a suitable replacement - there was one unit that was pretty close in height and width but was maybe a half inch thicker. I didn't chance buying it to have it not fit and have to return it, plus it was a $150 Harley Davidson branded battery.

I can't believe I would be the first person to run into this issue. Does anyone know a suitable US part number that would be good for high-vibration application? I checked around on Earth Tools and didn't see anything mentioned, but will give them a call or email next.

So...... the G110 is some type of Italian unit. And you have NO local dealership. A good battery store should be able to find a unit that will fit. I could not find a "group number" from the link you posted. Then, again, I don't read nor speak Italian.

You might try a "Batteries Plus" store.
They should be able to order just about anything.

FWIW Batterie Trattorini Rasaerba means batteries for small lawn mowing tractors; BM 37/A is the model # and FAM is the make/brand. So any battery for that use that physically fits will do.

If your 2 wheel mule has a battery tray and a wide piece of steel with two holes in the ends to put nuts on the threaded rods you have little to worry about as a small lawn mower battery from an NAPA, autozone, carquest, Farm and Fleet or Menards store or for that matter a local lawn mower repair shop that sells garden tractors will have a 12 volt battery for your 2 wheel mule.

If you can find a DEKA battery dealer you will be able to buy a battery that is much better in construction as they are designed to be used in many heavy machines like locomotives, battery powered mining machinery, and many rubber tired diesel mining machines.

You need to invest in a battery tender/battery maintainer for you new battery to keep the battery charged up as it will weaken over time
especially during the non use months and I can tell you from experience that lawn mower batteries get expensive every year if you do not have a battery maintainer.
I bought a new battery for my junk lawn tractor last year and I remembered to buy a battery tender to keep it charged over the winter months and it saved me the
$100.00+ expense of buying a new battery this year.
