I have a farm pro 2524 that has the same battery scene I bought it 3 1/2 years ago. It is now time to replace it. I looked for a cross over an found napa 7237. I called an they said this battery is 19" wide? The one that is in it is 12" wide no fit. Dose anyone know what brand or make will fit?????

Thanks

Battery measurements are typically Length x Width x Height. I don't think you mean 19" and 12" wide, that's almost certainly the length. But physical size is important only from the aspect that you don't want to get one that's too long to fit in the battery well, or so tall that it blocks airflow through the radiator. What's more important is capacity; cranking amps (CA). And - if you live in cold country - cold cranking amps (CCA).

But your profile doesn't give us a clue. Where do you live, and do you intend to use the tractor 12 months of the year?

I live in WV. The battery in it is (looking from the front to back ) 12" wide, 6 3/4 deep, 7" tall. We have pretty cold days here. The battery in it has always been weak. I bought it new an have always wonder when it would go out. I keep a trickle charge on it but the glow plugs really pull it down making it hard to start an every one knows about hard starting.

I bought my replacement battery at Costco. They had a catalog/manual at the battery rack that listed the dimensions of all of the batteries. Look through the book where you are going to make your purchase and find the batteries that will fit in your tractor's battery space then, and as the other post said, chose the highest CCA that you can get.

Well, I'll assume you get at least as cold as here - and will run it all winter. I had two 25hp Jinmas pretty much the same as your FarmPros. Both experienced battery failures, one of them under warranty. In that one, I had the dealer replace the Chinese battery with a generic Group 31 battery. This is a very common battery used in a lot of work trucks, and some tractors. In the other Jinma I put an Interstate Group 49 (used in Mercedes diesels). Of the two, the one with the Interstate cranked better (more CCAs than the Group 31).
