Good day all,
I am trying to resurrect a BCS 730 that had been under a tarp for the better part of 3 year. I bought a new battery but that did not resolve the issue of not starting. I used my cheapy voltmeter to start troubleshooting; thought it was a bad solenoid (Kohler M8 engine). Got a new solenoid and wired it in...no start
So now, I am needing to remove the gas tank to trouble shoot the wires (thinking about re-wiring the start/run circuit) that are running from the starter switch and between the gas tank and on top of the starter; I suspect I am going to have to replace the starter switch connector since it appears to have a good amount of corrosion.
I drained the gas out of the tank and tried to pry it off but have no luck getting it to budge. I've tried searching the internet to see if there is a service manual but cannot find one.
Any suggestions on how to get the gas tank off?
Thanks for your time!
