Sometimes, going down a slope, my 2003 BCS 850 with 30" HD mower attached grinds when I pull reverse. It makes a horrible "SCREEEEE". The clutch and cables are new. It doesn't mater if the PTO is disengaged. Sometimes I can get it to go cleanly into reverse by flipping into forward, then back. Once in a while I have to pull this moose back up the hill; then, on level ground, it works ok. I've tried clutch cable adjustment. I hope I don't have to get into the tiny parts and reverser gears deep inside the transmission! I have tried various service shops in the New England area and satisfaction levels are very low; but, that's another story. Has anyone had similar problems. Advice appreciated!
