BCS parts on back order...

Hey all,

New here. I have a BCS that has been in the shop for about 3 weeks. The shop owner has ordered the parts but has told me they are on backorder. He passed on this is the only weakness to BCS... He has said the parts may be in tomorrow... May be in in a few months... Very frustrating but not his fault.

Any of you BCS owners have a problem like this? How long have you waited for parts?

Good question... I called the dealer today to ask for the part number. He was away from his parts book so he didn't have the number off hand. I asked him about me finding the part from another dealer and he gave me a response which seemed to make sense. The part has been changed due to failures. BCS America is expecting the new part. I can buy that.

The part we are waiting on has to do with the PTO slipping out of gear. It is either stripped or worn, I can't remember exactly what he told me. You probably know the part. It sounds like the one piece part has been replaced with an upgraded two piece part... Only problem is none in the US...

Is your tractor an older model with the external spline drive PTO, or a newer 3 dog PTO with the internal engagement? If it's spline drive, you're probably getting a slider and a lever. I'm surprised they'd be out of stock, and it's very unlikely they've been changed due to failures. If it's three dog and internal, I'm not sure what parts would be needed as I've only ever done one internal PTO (my own 850).
