BD 285 loader valve question

This tractor is a Shibaura SD 1603, with BullDog 285 loader. I have cleaned the screen and ready to add fluid, but there is a line going back to the filler plug. I am not for sure this was used for a pby or not. My thinking on this is because the outlet from valve goes right back into the top of rear axle(from the hp line also from pump). Ther is two plugs on valve, top/btm. i would think it's for pby. Hope i am correct and can block(plug)this line going back to filler, so can be able to use reg. filler cap. Will make it a lot easier to fill. Also, in pix you will notice the underside of axle. There is two plugs that i would imagine is also part of the in/out of pby. Anyways after disconnecting this line and putting reg. fill plug in, i will purge FEL lines. Thanx for any and all input. Jim

Can you trace the line from filler to the loader valve to verify which line it is? I doubt it is the PBY since this would typically go the 3 point hitch valve.

Plugging it with identifying what port or function could cause some problems.

Yes sir, If you notice in the 1st pic the line i'm talking about is the line comin from the top. I think the btm. one is the pby, but then again ?? Maybe the previous owner had a use for the line, i just don't know. My question is that could it be for a relief or not? I wouldn't think so, as the one on my YM1700 doesn't have this set-up. 1st. pic is YM1700, the other is Shibaura ( not hose comin from top, and plug on btm. of valve.) Thanx Jim

Looks to me the bottom hose is pressure in, so the hose at the top would be power beyond. The hose just below that(with yellow zip tie) would be sump return.
Not sure just what you're trying to accomplish here, but I don't think you can effectively eliminate any of these hoses. If your intent is to free up the filler opening and use a standard filler cap, you will need to locate(or create) an alternative port for the sump return hose.

You can not plug that line it is the sump return for the pressure relief in the valve. If you block the relief line the min you run a cylinder to the end of stroke the pump will deadhead and be destroyed from over pressure, if you lucky you will just break a hose. The power beyond is going to the 3pt on the rear of the tractor as it should.

Ok,that's what i was hoping to hear. I think there is a plug on the left side of trans. right below the seat area. Will see if i have a pic of it, if not i'll take one and post. Thanks for the info. guys. Believe i'll put it here, never really noticed plug before.
