TARKINGTON PRAIRIE (November 3, 2014) A 65-year-old southeast Texas man died after accidentally driving his tractor over a pipe that flew into the air and hit him in the head.
Charles Lippold died Sunday in a field near his home in Tarkington Prairie, a Liberty County Sheriff痴 Office spokesman said.
Lippold was using the tractor to haul a hay bale when he reversed over a feeding ring made from aluminum pipe and a piece of the pipe struck and killed him, he said.
Justice of the Peace Ralph Fuller pronounced Lippold dead at the scene.
