I have been running these occasionaly to clean up some local beaches. One tractor is a 100hp Case the other a newer 75hp Case JX. They pull Barber Surf Rakes.

I can safely say, I've never seen beach grooming attachments before. Thanks for the pics!

Now that I've learned something new today, I can go home - right? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi Dave,
Which beaches are you grooming and what time of day do you go out (looks like evening or very early in the AM)?

So where do you dump the dead fish & sludge you retrieve? That has got to smell wonderful! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Hey Jim, nice to hear from you. We do Hampton beach. Usually start about 10:00, and finish about 3:00 when both tractors are going. The big tractor is nice because I put in in 6th gear and just go. It has a splitter so once I get going I flip it up. The tractor just pulls, really no shifting. The smaller one doesn't have the power. The CX is also nice because of the fasthitch button (get to the end of a row, hit the button and the 3pt hitch raises all the way up, hit the switch again it goes back to where you had it.). Push button 4wd, and a rotary dial 3pth hitch control vs a lever. Let's you dial it in just right.

Haven't had much fish up on the beach, I did accidentaly pick up a dead seal. It was in a bunch of sea weed. The biggest issues are blankets/towels, the get shredded and stuck in the tines. Then you have to get out and pull it out. Lots of chairs. Lastly, kids. They dig these big holes that swallow the front of the tractor. It gets a really bumpy out there at times running around 7-8 mph.

Lots of people out on the beach till 1:00ish. Some refuse to move for the tractor. The amount of trash on the beach just floors me. There are not suppose to be any alcholic beverages out there but there are lots of cans and bottles left. We usually fill a dual axle Ford F350 dump on the weekends.

Hehehe, yeah. There is a campground right next to the building where the equipment is kept. They must love it when we come trucking by at 3:00am.

Is that a Case pullling that groomer? The rake I run belongs to the state. How much is one roughly?
