Getting a new tym t574 with snow blade and rear blower and i am in the market for a warning light bar for use when plowing. The roof of the tractor is fiberglass so i cannot use a magenetic mount. Just wondering if anyone else has come up with a solution. Thanks

Very few people now are using 'beacons' that rotate due to the power draw. Nearly everybody including public safety has gone to LEDs in various forms.

Searching for 'amber LED strobe' on the various marketplace websites will find a wide selection of profiles and mounts under $100

I have an LS with fiberglass roof. It has bolts going thru where the roof hinges up. I made a bracket to fit those holes for my magnetic strobe to stick to. My magnetic LED strobe has 6 different strobes and cost was under $50. I also have flashing strobes under the light bars front and rear. Plus added reflective tape strips all around. If I'm in the road plowing and people don't see me they must be blind and shouldn't be driving.

I got a STAR (Since 1889) headlight, AMBER Lightbar with a combination magnet/suction cup arrangement. It is quit bright and has many patterns which I find quite stupid. I bought it only because I was looking for some parts for other roof warning lights and found our they had product available as reconditioned at very attractive prices. Always a sucker for a deal on high quality industrial equipment.

Your fiberglass roof may not be conducive to a magnet light but a thin steel plate inside should work through the roof with a magnet.

Those are some incredible magnets on the STAR unit.

I used a piece of 1/8" steel a little bigger than the beacon that I used and smeared the entire underside with silicone calk before putting it on the roof.
The calk has been enough to hold the beacon to the roof with no holes drilled through the roof.

91LED Star Contour(R) LED Mini-Bar for Police, Fire, Emergancy Vehicle Warning Systems, D.O.T, Utility, Security, & Contruction Products - Star Headlight & Lantern Company, Avon, New York

Refurb units available, on a first come basis I guess. Anyone can buy them.

They are cool, but in my opinion, NOTHING still beats the fullsize rotating beacons. Especially in the day. Do you want to impress yourself or attract a motorists attention?

Consider this. Any warning light becomes obsolete and of NO FURTHER VALUE once someone becomes aware of your presence.
