Tractor
SSTT (Sideways Snake Tain Tractor) and STB (sideways train box) tractor, dirt harvester
2 flat tires. same day *arghs*

already replaced a tube in other rear tire of tractor.

but other side *arghs* bead will not break loose.

using straight liquid dish soap (from the kitchen sink counter) on both sides of tire beads.

1. pulled tire off
2. used farm jack and lifted rear of tractor
3. used some 2x4's / 2x6's between a rear of tractor and edge of rim.
4. let jack down...
5. bead is holding rear of tractor up... tractor not heavy enough to break bead for this tire *big frown*

steps unknown.... grabbed a firewood wedge splitter. and replaced the blocks of wood. thinking smaller area of contact with tire = more weight/pressure... let tractor down again... still no luck.

steps unknown.... i don't have large enough C clamps so. ratchet strap (tie downs) some 2x4's... still no go...

*crossing fingers* hoping floor jack approach will work. before rim gives.

p.s. this is brand new tire with tube, approx 50 hrs on tire. liquid ballast is coming out around valve stem area.. liquid ballast is drained down to valve stem.

Put the tire and rim back on the tractor. Take the tractor out and do some figure eights while driving in the grass.

I drove the rear of my pick up on a 2x6 acting as leverage against the bead edge. It took all night as when I came up to it in the morning, tire finally relinquished.

Years ago I took a piece of heavy wall tubing and made a slide hammer for debeading tires. I've never lost the battle yet but have thoroughly worn myself out as the heavy wall is around 4 feet long.

I use this for 4x4 tires but it looks like if you add an extension for the hook on the lower left to grad the rim opposite of the break lever, it may work. When i get to that point, I think i'll give it a go. Raceline Bead Breaker

I used my shop crane, didn't think about pictures before I started, or I would have moved it out in the sunlight.

The castors and a steel bar pushed down on the tire.

This is very similar to what I made out of heavy wall tubing.

*big thumbs up* and already have the shop crane / cherry picker, beside tractor. to deal with mounting the other wheel

just like the floor jack video, but without all the extra lumber.

will try cherry picker later on tonight!

I put the bead under the edge of the front loader bucket's lip (while pointed down) and push the lever down. Don't use the corner edge.
