I'm looking for replacement chipper knives and shredder blades for a model 70554 [SC5540]. Parts are available from Echo but are just a silly price. Chipper knives $56.00 each x 4, shredder blades $9.00 each x 36. Has anybody had any experience with Tennessee Saw and Knife? [ chipper blades $13.37 ea ] I'm still looking . Help!
Pull one knife out and stop by your local machine shop. I had a set of knives made (from hardened tool steel?) at a machine shop for approximately $13.00 each. Parts were no longer available for my chipper, so i had no option to order a set. I was shocked at not only how affordable it was to have them made, but also how happy the machine shop owner was to help me out!
