Mowing bearing on mower deck needs replacement

I broke the drive belt on the mower deck and thought it was a bad belt but I found the drive pulley bearings ceased. Luckily I didn't ruin the new belt any advise on how to pop the bearings out . This is the main pulley on the lawnmower deck are these bearing standard size with an upper and lower pulley . the model is 1610 hydo 16hp brigs hydrostatic drive 48 inch deck

Sorry "Lucas2000" ya really gotta help us out here..There has been literlly hundreds of Cub Cadet models made and a zillion decks produced..Please give us a hint of your model,size, /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

although i have no idea about you particular mower, the information is pretty much good for all mowers
should be regular bearings, good to get from local mower dealer. seem they are busted anyway, beat them out with your favourite tool, you dont need to save them. take the part no, found on the bearing casing to the dealer and he should have em in stock

one thing to check, when you replace them make sure they are a tight fit to the mandrel or they aint no good. if loose use coke can to make them a tight fit /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Your bearings will have a number on the outside flange. Get that number and call your local bearing company. They can get you a replacement if your dealer does not have them. Probably will be cheaper than the Cub dealer too.

The Cub replacement part is the Spindle Asm PN-759-3479, which includes the bearings, shaft, mounting flange etc. They are expensive - $70.25 each back in June, 2000. The older spindles were ball bearing and the later ones have roller bearings. I had to replace all three on a 44A mower deck due to slop in the bearings. If you have a lot of time and access to a bearing press you may be able to dissassemble them and find replacement bearings.
