i have been messin with my carb alittle and i have been able to get some nice take off power out of that little hpx. being she has to turn the big 589's she gets up quik. i figured out how to solve the one plug getting sooted up thing. but the biggest thing is the takeoff power and just plain throttle response. i'm gonna try some diferent plugs and see if i get anything out of them.. if anyone wants to get some more pickup try messin with the little blck screws on top the carb i.m gonna see if i can do some work to the govenor too.lol

What screws did ya mess with?

What year is your HPX (Do you have new or old style carb.)

I'd be interested to know what ya did.

Before doing any adjustment on carb screws, it probobly would hurt to mark them from the starting point, for if you ever have to adjust back....
Found out, that ladies finger nail polish works great ( red is what I use ), that way you can always count the turns better, and have a spot to go back to if you adjust to much one way or another ~~~~~~

;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

there are two black plastic screws on top the carb. after playin with them at diferent setting it starts easier and i don't get that soot buildup on one plug like i used to.i remebered where they was when i started i never made a full turn being that they are sensitive.
