Befco Tiller and box scraper

I found someone selling a used Befco tiller, T30-150 , and box scraper, BBS-C48. Both implements are lightly used. Basically used to landscape a 1/2 acre lot.

I have a concern that the tiller may be a little big for a Kubota BX24. Any thoughts?

The seller is stating he paid about $2,000 for both last year. Personally I think he over paid and must not have shopped around. He was offing the pair for $800 if purchased with the tractor he was selling. What would be a decent price to offer for the tiller and box scrapper?

I think the BX would be fine with the tiller. Befco are nice implements. I have a 60" Befco box blade for my B-7800 and it is a nice match. I can pull a full box of dirt with the rippers all the way down. I haven't had any problems bending shanks or anything with my Befco.
As far as the price, it sounds like a pretty good deal. I paid $500 for my 60" Befco boxblade 4 years ago (bought it new from the dealer). With the price of steel, he probably did pay $2,000 for both of them. I paid $1,200 for a 60" Woods tiller 3 years ago. I know the sizes are bigger but when you figure in the time, I bet with tax it wasn't far from $2,000.
What part of MD are you at? I deal with Antietam Tractor in Hagerstown, MD.

I'm just north of Washington DC, about 1 hr and 15 minutes from Hagerstown.

Just to be clear, he was offering the box scraper and tiller for $800 to the buyer of the tractor. Since I'm not buying the tractor he obviously wants more. I'm just not sure what to offer.

Oops! I missed the part about sold with the tractor. I would offer him the $800 for them since he has that figure all ready out there all ready even though it is if you buy the tractor. I don't think I would go any higher than $1,200 for both of them. Have you priced them out new, just to get an idea?

List price for a befco 258 tiller (About 60 inches) with the side shift(manual) is in the area of 2200 to 2500 dollars. These are very good tillers and they sell high here in texas.
