Buying Advice Belly mower and rear pto question

Hi all

Lots of equipment and experience but I'm newly in the market for a 20-30 hp (engine) property maintenance tractor and have a usability question.

The terrain is suitable for 2wd and belly mower. The tractor is likely to see 3-400h/year. Used or new is fine.

I'm after a hydro trans, grapple loader equipped platform w power steering, mid mount mower that will carry a pto chipper shredder pretty much all the time.

I'm wondering if the chipper can stay ready on the 3pt for use when not mowing with the belly mower. I do not mean for simultaneous use. I'm trying to avoid disconnecting, reconnecting a bunch of shaft/belts to switch between operating the mid, rear pto.

Requirements:
front end loader, w 3rd function for grapple
Belly mower, hst, 18-25 to the pto

Optional: 4wd


Any brand, model info appreciated especially good used value machines to look for. Adequate dealers for any service in my area.

My 125 has a selector for Mid, Rear or Both. I leave the MMM on most of the summer no matter what else I'm doing.

I own a JD 2025r and owned a Kubota BX before, the all had a lever to select mid, rear or both.

Thanks, that's what I'm looking for. Last one in that class I had was a PITA to switch. It was old...the mid was clearly an after thought.

The only thing I would add as a question, is if there is a way to lock the 3PH in the up position when using the MMM, if the MMM height is changed by the 3PH.

With my smaller BX, the 3PH is used to set mower height. So if there is something on the 3PH arms, it goes up and down with the height adjustment of the MMM.

Not sure if this is a concern, but something to think about.

none I ever have seen can lock the 3ph in an up position. And my tym has a mmm that when down, has the 3ph fairly low. I've used mower with stuff hanging on the 3ph, but it is a pain to insure it doesn't drag....

My Boomer (NH) had the MMM that the 3ph set the height. I could pin the MMM deck all the way up so I could use the 3ph but not vice versa. The linkage to raise and lower the MMM hooked directly to the 3ph lift arms.
