The gearbox on your mmm is probably 1:1 (like my JD mmm). The RFM version using the same deck components is about 1:3. Have you looked into buying just the gear set? Change out the 1:1 and put in the 1:3. The gearbox housings look to be common, but I'm not sure about the Kubota mid-pto turn direction vs. the JD. . If not, I've seen a few complete gearboxes (used) on eBay.
Then you need the brackets and a drive shaft.
If you already have the mid to front pto kit (lets say for a snowblower), AND you have some fab skills, consider using that deck for a front offset mower. Its a cool wayto get under the pine trees without getting your face slapped by sap filled braches. You could make use of the FEL frame to do a QA rig, or just push it from a Rube Goldberg forward linkage.
