I have seen a B7500 with a belly pan made from 1/4 ? in. plate. It was flat with about six bolt on hangers. Can't recall how the oil plug access was handled.:)

It is possible. Just ask the mechanic's a few questions.:)

I would include easy cleanout access in the design. If it fills up with a lot of chaff and grime it could become a very expensive firepit.

I was wondering myself about stuff that people say, "if I can knock it down with the FEL the Bush Hog will take care of it" run over with their FEL then Wacke with the bush hog? What is the collective conscious opinion on running brush down for the bush hog? A protective skid sounds reasonable.

I can tell you for a fact that the Ford 8N's with the belly exhaust didn't like to be ran through the brush.

That is the reason for advice to GO SLOW and lower your FEL close to the ground with the bucket tilted up slightly when mowing in unknown territory. If you run into a stump it will ride up on it or stop you before you damage your tractor. I second the motion to make sure it has access to clean it as iti will for sure fill up with grass etc and may even cause you to overheat the crankcase oil as it will insulate it pretty good from proper air flowl.

good thing for kubota insurance. was backing up & going very slow, happened so fast didn`even know anything was wrong until the white smoke.

walked the ground before i started into it can`t see everything. the shop told me of a customer who bought a new much bigger tractor with a cab had it for a short period of time ran a limb thru one of the windows ins. fixed it & two mths. later he came back with the same window busted again out by the same limb
, go figure.. stuff does happen.

all good suggestions, what groundcover said.

thanks

Sounds like he needs to spend more time with his chainsaw than his tractor.

I think some people should be required to film everything they do. I thing we have a new interesting member here

Ya like we never scratched the pickup riding through a field we shouldn't be driving in or picked up something heavy without using our legs:laughing:. Guys that warn about dangers have exeperienced them and survived or not:laughing:. Laughter is identification.
