Someone recently said not to take the MMM off because it adds 250lbs of low CG weight.

Anyone ever make a weight to go in place of the MMM? A piece of plate hanging from the mower mounts in addition to the weight would act as a protector for that plastic HST fan and would afford more ground clearance than the MMM does.

That is certainly true...If you could weld something together out of 1/4 plate, that would be better than beating the MMM to death when in rough terrain.

Making a template out of the MMM mounting points should be fairly painless if you have the equipment.

You'd probably have to rig something up so that it can be R&R'd easily..Wheels with drop pins or something like that. That hunk of metal will be heavy and hard to muscle around.

The problem with that Ian is that if the steel is not made up exactly like the
mower mounts with proper measurements and placement it will eventually ruin the mower mounting points. the other issue is that the wieght wil have a mind of its own unless it is hooked and latched in place.

The other issue is one of clearances as the steel could be stuck on something just as easily.

Thats the nice thing about the Brotek skid plates and others and the weight and protection they offer.

You can add the suitcase wieghts on the front guard if the guard does not interfere with the loader.

your new tractor will be better served with loaded rear tires and suitcase wieghts.

It was a thought... I was using the FEL on some rough muddy ground today and the top of the deck was collecting mud and occasionally got whacked because of the terrain.
