Just got a Bad Boy Rogue zero-turn. While reading through the manual and based on what my dealer talked about during delivery run-through, apparently belt tension is pretty important for both deck and hydro system. I'm used to my Deere equipment where things are (apparently) dynamically tensioned and don't require manual adjustment.
So, I figured "sure, I'll pick up the tool just to do things right". Well, Bad Boy helpfully sells the tool for $245. Not to fear, they are just re-selling the OTC tool which costs... $140. Really?
I have a Motion Pro belt tension gauge I use for my motorcycle drive belt like this. Is there a way to translate the 70-75 pound tension spec for the above type of tool to a pounds and deflection measurement spec like the push-type tension gauge reads? Or are there less expensive but still decent quality tools like the OTC one available?
Thanks,
Rob
