I have a kubota L2650 w/ a Kubota backhoe that works off the PTO. A pin shattered at the arm unknowingly when I was digging out a stump. I continued to dig and then realized that a bracket bent at the arm and the cylinder rod to extend the arm in and out was bent. I just had it repaired by a dealer a few weeks ago. When I got it back I enagged the PTO and tried the hoe out and it was smooth (I did not dig anything). Yesterday,I used the hoe for the first time since it was "fixed" and I dug 4 holes about 2 feet deep in clay soil with small roots (less than 1" diamter). After digging the holes, I found the same cylinder rod bent AGAIN. I am waiting for the dealer that fixed it the frst time to call back to see if they will repair it (hopefully at no cost to me). Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Thanks

You might try a search on this, its been talked about before. If I recall, one poster had about 3 of them put on his machine. He even posted a video of when it happened once.

i will search the posts for more info. I spoke to the dealer yesterday and he mentioned that it could be a bad relief valve?! I have to take it back to the shop for the repairs.

I do not have you same hoe but run a BH75 on a B3030.
I bent two rods in my early days. Hopefully you're problem was the relief valve.
What iI found out early on need to be carefull when digging out stumps. Digging up close to a stump with rod fully extended and then pulling boom up will eventually bend my dipper cylinder rod if its tough digging such as trying to dig out stump.. I have not had anymore problems since i learned the proper technic. And not saying that is your problem. Just telling you to use caution when digging up close on something with dipper cylinder fully extended. i usually pull the tractor further away so rod in cylinder more in tough digging.

thanks for your input. I think it is either a faulty relief valve or when they repaired the cylinder rod and bracket that it was not reset at the proper angle. I was digging in clay soil when the cylinder rod bent. Where is the relief valve located?
