Went to the church last night to do playground rehab. I was popping out two foot X two foot X 18" pieces of concrete from the ground with the forks. I just jammed them in the dirt and rocked back an forth a little to get them to go under. Then I'd apply a little pressure and I could see the whole slab move a little. Then I'd switch sides and pop it out. Did 6 in about 5 minutes.
Then I got to one that had an old pipe sticking out of it. It was from an old swingset. I worked on that thing for 10 minutes before I noticed that I had bent my left fork down about 2 inches! I got mad and made a few more attempts. When it finally came out of the ground, it was about the size of a soccer ball! That's it! That's what bent my fork? I guess it was that the dirt was much harder over there than by the giant pieces.
I also took a load of scrap wood over to the dumpster. It was about 4.5 feet high. I set the bucket over the edge and thought I'd be cute and climb the dumpster like that guy with the TLB on the train cars... it climbed up no problem... except when the bucket started sliding into the dumpster... then I was stuck, sitting there with my front wheels off the ground and the bucket in the dumpster! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
I tipped the bucket back a few times and was able to finally get out. That extra few inches of lift height would have been handy in that situation. So, don't try that at home, folks! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
