Looks like new again and a lot less expensive. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm curious. When I was at my dealer last week I looked at an L3400 he had on the lot. It too had an open tie rod and the linkage looked like an old Jeep bell crank design. (Monkey motion we used to call it. It was a crap design for sure, then and now)

I thought all Kubota tractors had the new hydrostatic, mounted on the front axle and shielded, type of front steering?? That is why all the old Jeep owners put Saginaw steering conversions on them. The old bell crank linkage was sloppy and too easily damaged off roading. This is another thing I don't like about JD compacts. The steering linkage is way too open and exposed and in harms way. Kubota shielded hydrostatic units are tucked in and for the most part secure from objects hitting them. That is unless the operator screws up. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
