I want to put a 3-pt hitch adapter on my skid-steer quick attach, and I've found three different brands. I'm wondering if you all have opinions as to which one is better?

One is the Lackender. On this one, it looks like you need to slide the lower links into the pins. I guess friction is supposed to hold the links in place?

Next is the Worksaver. I like that this one has a quick-attach type setup for the lower links.

Next (at the bottom of the page) is the Kasco Switch Hitch. Here is a better picture of the Model SH-596, although the Model SH-400, which is only for Cat-1, is probably all I need. Both of these also appear to have quick-attach type lower links, although more elaborate with levers to engage.

They all have somewhat different setups. Is one better than another?

I bought one of the harbor freight $69 dollar hitches and bolted it to my backing plate, it's adjustable and removable for other attachments

I've been looking for that link for hours. Thanks for the help.
Has anyone used one of these yet? I will order one and be sure to report on it.

On the Lackender one (which I just bought), I believe your hitch pins will keep it from sliding.

Dylan,

That adaptor has been on my wish list for so long it took me awhile to find it too. Looking forward to your field test.

Dylan,

Try this link. If you get one, keep us posted.

There really is nothing that compares to our Powered 3-Point adaptors
What dirtworks doesn't tell you is that most of your pto shafts will have to be cut shorter to work. The distance from the pto shaft to the links is short. Look at some of their pictures with implements attached. The picture with the tiller has a very short pto shaft. You won't be able to reuse the attachment for a CUT. I do like their design and it appears well made. I wonder if adding a cheap Harbor Freight quick hitch onto it may give it enough distance for a normal pto shaft.

I don't have a tractor anymore so having short pto shafts should not be a problem. I am a little concerned about the weight and power output.

The unit weights 400+ pounds and the rotadairon I want to run weights about 1000 lbs. The lift capacity of my machine (toolcat) is 1500 lbs. It is going to be heavy stuck way out there.

With my 19 gpm I can get about 20 hp at the pto. The rotodairion needs 20-35hp. It is going to be close.

Does anyone know of a lighter, simpler unit? I only want to run one attachment so I don't need the fancy ajustments.

Thanks dylan

I don't think that 1,400 lbs close to the ground is going to be a problem for you. Remember that Bobcat says you will be able to lift a sod pallet up to truck bed height. In that low height you would be able to lift something in the range of 2,500 lbs. I seem to remember some discussion about the 1,500 lb rating being at full height.

This may only apply to the 'C' series though, I don't remember which you have. By the way, Dylan, you need to update your profile, it still says you have a New Holland.
