We sell WellWorth Summit with great results and many satisfied repeat customers. Stanadyne Performance is a very good product. Howe's products get good reviews where it is available. Power Service in the white bottle seems to be getting more mixed reviews now than in the past, I wonder if it as as effective in ULSD as it was in high sulfur fuel? Based on what I am hearing, Power Service would brobably be my last choce, but better than nothing.
All of these products are formulated to be ongoing treatments, not necessarily emergency treatments to be used following gel up problems.

I've been using Power Service for an anti-gel, no problems with gelling, however it hasn't really been severely cold. I'm trying a tank with all my diesels with a good dose of Sea Foam, I've seen definite performance improvements, I presume it's cleaning the injectors. Unfortunately Sea Foam is a little to expensive to use all of the time.

I use Stanadyne Power Service (their blue label). Used in my 7.3L Powerstroke, and 3930 Ag tractor.

It is designed to de-emulsify (I tend to remember this better as "coagulate", as in blood thickening) tiny water particles, so your filter can do it's job better - as the OP commented this is even more important with the newer diesels.

I also use Stanadyne Lubricity (Purple label). Neither of these products contain alcohol.

The comment about on road and off road fuel, it is all the same now unless the red dye is an enhancment.
Using an anti gel if you are not traveling north is silly. If the fuel you are using gels up, they could not pump it into your vehicle. If when you are filling up, the nozzle backs out and you have to cut off the jelly to get the cap on you may have a problem, other than that you are being sold a line.
If someone tells you about the chill factor they really are mentally challenged, chill factor is what happens, from evaporation and since you fuel system is enclosed, that does not come into effect. Adding anything not made to burn like ATF is silly, your newer fuel systems produce 30,000 lbs pressure and ATF is not made to be injected, and has Molybdenum additives.
Google diesel fuel Lubricity, and the report on diesel garage will come up. 2% bio fuel was the best, and I have not seen a pump that does not say they use Bio fuel.

Was plowing snow for about an hour with my RTV1100. Suddenly it just stalled and would not start. I found water (ice) in the fuel filter and fuel line. I replaced the filter and drained the fuel line until it was just diesel coming out the line. Ran fine after that. Any suggestions on what additive to use to keep moisture out of the fuel tank?

ice? or was it gelled up. I suspect it was not treated for winter.

You want the best additive? just about anything that prevents problems is the best. There are several additives you can use like white bottle of power service or howse or use a winter blend of fuel or add kerosene.

If you have water you did exactly, what should be done, also drain the fuel tank to get that water out.
Keep the tank full
