Best and quickest way to rid myself of moles!!!

Seems the moles are getting an early start this year the snow finally melted and I see evidence of moles they seem to nest under my heat pump platforms. They don't go very deep and uproot the grass very bad, it looks more like a snake like path. What is the best way to get rid of the varmits.

I have had a problem with moles at my mountain property in western NC. I have tried using several different chemicals to kill the grubs that they supposedly feed on with no success. Finally my local Southern States dealer told me that the only good way is the old fashioned trapping (ie killing) method.

First, get some flags like are used to layout irrigation systems, etc. Go around and flatten the tunnels that look like they are active and place a flag next to the flattened area so you can find them easily. Come back the next day and check your flags to see which flattened areas have been pushed back up (active tunnel). Set your traps and wait. This method has worked very well for me. Good luck!

My neighbor told me of a method that sounds funny, but worked for me. You bury empty beer bottles, neck up, in the holes. Burt them deeply enough that the lawnmower won't hit them. The moles will push them out a time or two, and then will get disgusted and move next door.

My neighbor did that and the moles moved to my yard. I did it, and they moved to the next neighbor's yard.

Get a couple of cases of Sam Adams and I'll come over and help you empty them.

I had mole problems. Tried poisoning and trapping. Didn't work. Finally got 2 cats. No more mole problems. They bring them to the house to show they have been hunting. Didn't care to much for cats before, but good cats will keep the mole and mouse population down.

It is my tractor colors. and I put it up. seems they do not like the vibration. And I can move it any time it is held in place with four little stakes.

Last year I got about 30, the year before over 50 and the year before that 29. They've destroyed the liner in my pool buy undermining it..
