I have a ton of small trees (Less than 4") to get rid of and I really want to chip them vice burn them. What would be a good 3 point chipper for a tractor with 25 HP. Thanks

I have the BearCat CH5540 on the back of my 8N and really like it. The only wish (more money) would be for automatic feed. If you have any farm and machinery shows coming up in your area in the near future, that would be a great place to look at all the options available to you. Philip.

I have a wallenstein BXM32 on my bx24. It is a fantastic chipper and I would definately buy it again. It is a bit heavy for this tractor so you need to watch for ruts and bumps but the 24 handles it really well (plenty of power)

You can get the bx42 if you wish, it will handle larger branches but anything over 3" for me goes in the woodstove. I have found that I use the mulch function on the BXM quite often. The BXM 42 would be way too heavy for my tractor

Hope this helps

I have a BX42 on my BX25 and it handles the weight just fine. I think the BX42 would be a good match for a 25hp PTO tractor. Does up to 4" material, but no mulch function.

Are there any dealers in Texas. There website shows none.

The BX42 was my other consideration. It is actually lighter than the BXM32 and the weight is lower to the ground. The other advantage is the larger capacity, even of you dont chip 4" material it may handle the twists and bends easier. These would would be the models to choose from. I would be happy with either but I do like the mulch on the 32. Use it to clean up all the bark and small twigs. I have covered hundreds of feet of trail this fall using mine. Works great, don't forget gloves, glasses, hearing protection and a long sleeve shirt. These chippers are not toys!

I have a woods 5000 I bought used in like new condition about a year ago. I was very close to getting a wallenstine but the woods was in same as new condition and much less money. I looked at as many videos as I could on YouTube to see how well they worked, as much as you can on video. If I had it to do over I would spend the extra money and get the wallenstine. I have a BX25 and it runs the chipper fine. The opening on the Wally it much bigger and the woods is a pain because of the small opening in the chipper chute. Good luck.

I've the Wallenstein 42 w/ a BX25. Perfect match, great machine. I bought it mail order from another state.
