I'm widening my 52 Bobcat tiller to 68 andit and my trencher also requires new bearings. I'm wondering who is your favourite online bearing supply house.

Can you look up numbers online or lookup by measurements. These are just ball bearings, provided they are not some fancy oddball size.

I've never tried to buy such things as bearings and oil seals online, but Purvis has always had what I needed whether anyone else did or not. I even once got the right Ford bearing for a truck when the biggest Ford truck place in Dallas didn't have it. And no, I don't have any stock in Purvis, and your mileage may vary.:D

Haven't tried it on-line, but the first thing I do when I need bearings is go to a local supplier. Most all bearings are identified by the number stamped on the inner race. If I'm not mistaken, the number even holds true from brand to brand. Thus a Fafner bearing will carry the same number as a Bruning bearing. I've be sucessful getting replacements for my JD tractor and mower at these outlets and save big over what the 'Green/Yellow' counter guys want! Same with trailer bearings, or car applications. Got to be outlets on the net!
This place will have you shopping for a while! :

I rarely have to buy bearings. I'm lucky, my brother works for SKF bearing and anytime I need one he just gets them out of the tool room for me. Actually he usually has them in stock himself. He has quite a collection that he has put together after 23 years at SKF.

One suggestion I will make no matter where you get your bearings is don't skimp on the price. Buy high quality name brand bearings like SKF, Timken, NTN, etc... You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to bearings.

Your mother must be very proud. Employee theft is the reason many companies go under or continually gouge the rest of us to maintain a profit. Thanks for the eye opener. I'll never buy another SKF bearing.
