All,
during the pandemic (and current lockdown in Ontario, Canada) I have decided to use the time to repaint my Ford 601 Workmaster. This is a workhorse and not a show tractor. Although I have a compressor, I was considering rolling/brushing on the paint. Locally, I have come across 3 Brands that carry Farm/Implement paint:
-Tremclad Oil Based Rust Paint (Rustoelum)
-Beauti Tone Aklyd Paint (home hardware brand)
- Canadian Tire's Rust Check Paint.
I am not able to find much information on the differences in quality,uv resistance, gloss, durability, etc. on these paints and am hoping somebody with experience can shine some light. I plan to sand, primer, fine sand, wipe down with pre-paint cleaner, roll on paint (2 coats).
Also, not sure if these paints require clear coats?
