Best most Fuel effiecent roadside grass cutting tractor??

What is the best most fuel effiecent tractor and economical to buy for a roadside grass cutting tender? Last years lowest bidder on the tender was $21.75 a running mile (both sides of the road) and generally just one pass. So consider that.

how much roadside realeastate are we talking? any ditches?

I see lots of guys using hammerhead 10' v wing mowers or similr 10' batwings ( one wing gone ) cutting ROW in our area.. followed by a ztr and a guy with a big string trimmer.... led by a guy on a gator or mule picking trash.... sometimes the lead guy is the same one that goes back with the string trimmer after 1 or both mowers pass.

I'm not sure how many kilometres or miles this is for a lot anyway becaue its for a whole township of roads! and its usually done with a 7-10 ft sickle bar mower and just one pass on each side of the road. no trimmer is required on this job.

Nonturbo? I agree, I have always thought my 3215 4x4 Mahindra with A 3cly Mitsubishi turbo was extremely fuel efficient. Aaron
