MF 275
I am wanting to add hydraulics to the front of the loader by the bucket to angle a snow plow (possibly grapple down the road). I am working on a Massey 275 (factory 10gpm @ 2300psi), the Bushhog loader is run off one of my rear remotes to a 2 handle loader valve (gressen?) w/o a power beyond feature.
As I see I have 2 options:
1: Add the 12v double selector valve https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-7852&catname=hydraulic associated plumbing, wiring, CRV and split off of my curl/dump hydraulics up front.
2: Switch to a 3 spool valve like this one https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?catname=hydraulic&qty=1&item=9-7761 Will the 'low' relief pressure (1885psi non-adjustable) effect the loader strength for lifting? OK just went back and realized these are out of stock...
How about https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?catname=hydraulic&qty=1&item=9-6703-f
or to go to a joystick https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?catname=hydraulic&qty=1&item=9-7401 could I use the PB feature to my current double handle valve to control plow?
A few ?s on this one in particular. Would I still need the CRV for the plow circuit or would the valve take care of it? How difficult is it to run hard lines over hoses the whole way?

Thanks for your input.

Welcome to TBN Chad:D

Option #1: This will be the easiest, and cheapest way to go. If you search the term "diverter" here in the hydraulics forum you will be reading for hours about them. I have been using one for years and while it's not as nice as a true 3rd function-it certainly gets the job done.

Option #2: Two reasons I don't like it...the low PRV pressure that's non-adjustable (and yes, that will reduce lift capacity), and that Nimco does not have a great track record for support. Again, a search of the term "nimco" will prove that.

The add a joystick option is great...they are perfect for loader use for sure and probably far better than what you have but it's expensive. Basically it comes down to what you want, and what you are willing to pay for.

CRV: Crossover relief valve or also called cushion valves. Yes, you should still have one on the plow. The control valve will not function as one.

Hardlines are nice, but getting the proper material and getting them bent properly can be difficult, and you will probably find it will cost more than hoses.

Agree with KennyD, stay away from Nimco if you can't get support!!

But I still comment since I am "a biased Swede" LOL...
Nimco is a Swedish manufacturer...(Very nice valve program though)...but most of production is marketed out of a Finnish company, Polarteknik.com, and they are into Asia and Russia with their sales :(

Here is the Nimco Valve program, with downloadable pdf's...

Here are the US distributors list...

If you own a Nimco product and need parts, try those numbers....(I do not think they there is any support though)

Thanks for the replies!
The joy stick is appealing and not all that much more $ in the big picture. I think I would end up with a cleaner installation with the double selector valve though so I willprobably go that route. The lifespan of the hard lines would make them worth it over running long hoses if I could find materials (as you said) but pretty much a non-issue with the diverter valve. Would this be sufficient as a CRV? https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-7674&catname=hydraulic

Thanks Chad

Great, and where would you suggest setting the relief pressure?

Thanks Chad

This is more by feel that by a gauge...start low and if the blade keeps tripping left to right or right to left then go a little higher. There is no "magic" number here because of the weight of your tractor pushing, the size of the blade, and other variables.

That is a plan I can live with.
Thanks for all the help Kenny!
