Best Paint for mower deck at a good price

Thinking forward a bit... but I want to sand blast my Cub Cadet 48 "
mower deck this fall, or if it is a dry summer ... do it now.
Anyone have any good durable paint stories to tell ?
Also... who has a good match for Cub Cadet Yellow and it's cream whie in an auto color.

for the underside of the deck, por 15. the stuff dries super smooth and im told grass doesnt have a chance of sticking to it. i used it on the frame of my 75 f250 about 5 years ago and its still super nice. i have clothes that its still attached to and its still stuck to the cement that was under the truck. the stuff i got on my fingers took about a month to wear off. do not buy chassis saver, its junk. brushed it on under my other truck last summer, and its all gone this summer. as far as auto paint, any distributor should be able to mix up something to an exact match if you take in a sample.

depends on the condition. por stand for paint over rust. knock the loose stuff off and paint over the rest. they also sell a metal ready product for smooth stuff.

I agree the POR15 is good stuff, but I would recommend going ahead and sandblasting the underside of the deck and then letting it sit for a couple of days to get thin layer of surface rust before applying the paint. Did this to my deck couple yrs ago and still looking great. Talk to the paint rep and ask his opinion, he probably heard before. As for the topside, I ended up using school bus yellow, which is pretty close to cub yellow. Maybe had something to do with the fact I work at a bus garage and got a great deal(free) on it. If you want the factory paint im sure the dealer would be happy to sell it to you, but I would go to local paint store or NAPA and get something close.
