Best price for a livestock trailer

I live in Tyler TX, which is about 100 miles East of Dallas. Shreveport LA is an hour and a half away, Texarkana is 2 hours away and I can get to Oklahoma in about 2 hours.

I'm looking for a 16 foot, bumper pull livestock trailer that is 6 ft wide and 6ft, 6in tall. I want to buy brand new so I wont have to mess with fixing anything.

Before I commit to anything or going anywhere, I'm wondering if anybody in the general area can recommend a dealer with good prices?

Can't help you out on the dealers, but I will say one thing. Maybe it is a mistake, but if I'm looking at a trailer that is rated for 12k lbs, it wouldn't have a 2" coupler, it would be the 2 5/16. The others either say 2 5/16 or don't say at all, but I would say avoid the ones that are for sure 2".

Oh, we have a 2003 Bison that we bought in 2009. It is 16' long, not sure on height, and it has the 12k axles. It has the 2 5/16" Bulldog Coupler.

Eddie I always pass Gooseneck in Bryan and know they have always been a very reputable brand. If I was looking at new cattle trailer that would be my first stop.They also have aluminum but I bet it is pricey

I thought the prices listed for the trailers shown were reasonable. In my neck of the woods (trailers comming out of IA) usually run 6000-7000.

I don't like the roller doors on most stock trailers. They fail too often and at the wrong times. To the OP, not sure what you're moving, but removable dividers are often a plus. I've got two Shadow trailers (all aluminum) and couldn't be happier. They have a dealer listed in Hockley, Tx.

Eddie, there's a place on 175 outside of Kemp called Little Tex. He has used trailers, but he goes through them and makes sure that all is good before he sells them.
If you go further down 175 before you reach Kaufman there are a few new trailer dealers. I just drove through about an hour ago and saw one new trailer that fits your description.

That should have been 2 5200 lb axles, but the trailer itself is only rated for 7k.

+1 for Gooseneck brand trailers out of Bryan Texas, bought one exactly like you are describing brand new in 1989, it's still a great trailer today, it gets washed out after hauling cows or horses and it's kept under a barn when not in use but it's still not rusty and the paint still looks good, don't think you could go wrong with them.
