Best QA plate, reasonable $ and good quality- where to buy?

Need a good to high quality brand of QA plate for my DK-40 Kioti with KL-401 loader.
Real world use would be appreciated.
I'm looking to hang my Samuri Sickle Bar off the QA, once I have it in hand, possibly with a fabricated/welded bracket.

I know you're looking for real world experience with the QA plate rather than the seller, but I've recently had awesome experiences with the seller so I gotta say that I'd personally go to ETA for that. They have a lot of experience fitting such things and their customer service is second to none.

I guess this it like a Bobtach plate. Look on ebay. I buy plates for about $125, including shipping. You can buy 1/4" or 5/16" or thicker, which is heavier. I buy the thickness I need for the attachment, often the 5/16" the way you weld on your attachment can add a lot of strength. They are so useful I keep a spare plate.

These are the one I used when I converted the old Kubota bucket to SSQA.. it seemed well built and fit well. I paid $125 for it delivered.

Check ebay for Titan skid steer plate. 5/16" , design your weldment parts such that they add strength, not stress concentrations.

Thanks for the links/suggestions on what to do, where to look. EA does make great stuff, but I'm not looking to pay retail for a 'skidsteer plate'.

Rural King has a 1/4" plate for $115, but I have to get to $150 to get free shipping.

Skidsteer Express has 3/8" in plates for $174, free S&H. I also like their receiver hitch built in 1/4" thick plate, ($165), free S&H, which would be useful for moving my boat and other trailers.

I take it the Bobcat/quick tach is the 'universal' plate dimension for Kioti brand tractors which have the QA 'feet' already on their FEL arms?

It worked for me..I think I had to take a couple of licks with a file when I swapped the old Kubota bucket over to fit the Kioti when I got it. It fit, but it was tight. So I filed the slots just a little.

Here is the actual width and height of my loader's QA 'feet': 44 3/8" W X 15 1/4" H.
So it would seem that a 45" wide plate opening should accommodate my feet!
Anyone have thoughts on the thickness of plate I should buy? I'm inclined to buy the thickest, (3/8") due to wanting to weld or bolt steel fabricated tubing/plates to it to attach the Samuri Sickle Bar.

I'd agree with that - for one thing, the longer you make any extensions the more torque the Samurai will apply to your welds and attachments. Dunno about you, but anything I don't have to physically carry around gets made thicker rather than thinner :thumbsup:... Steve
