Best retrofit snow cab deal

I was able to make a snow cab JD sells for their x500 lawn mower which sells cheap on eBay all the time. I Liked it over the others as it’s got a real door. I made it fit under my fabricated canopy but if not there I would have it over the ROPS. Nice quality.

How did you come to think this would work on your 186d? I've often bought something knowing I'd have to "make it fit" but at that expense I would have thought hard. Not saying it's too much.

It really does fit pretty nice.

Does this have an internal support frame that you wouldn't need your ROP in any way.?

Same here. I just rolled the dice and it worked out. If No ROPS it would make it easier-it Fully supports itself. The back two posts are in holes that were already in the tractor, just made them slightly bigger (I think the flashing lights were there once). the front posts are basically locked into the floorboard with some clips that came with the kit (plus a few extra holes for some spring clips). Trimmed about 6" off the bottom of the whole thing on the sides as it was too long (overhung the fenders). A few zip ties sure.
