Bucket Hooks best uses for FEL bucket hooks?

what do you use them for? I am trying to come up with some good projects for when the weather is good!

Everything. I can not get by without the 3 I have on my bucket. I also put a Reese style hitch on the bucket which is extremely handy. I even made a boom pole to go in it.

Pull a stump out of a hole. Pull fence pull out of ground. Lift a implement out of pickup box. Chains hold implement level while being lifted. Pull small shrubs out of the ground. I have pallet forks and a grapple. Do not use the hooks as much as I did when first putting hooks on bucket.

I use mine mostly when moving brush in the bucket. I load the bucket very full and wrap a chain around the brush to keep of from falling out when traveling to the burn pile.

They are great for picking up large rocks. Loop a chain between two hooks so it dangles appx to the bottom of the bucket. Full dump the bucket, approach the rock in question until the chain hangs behind it. Back up slightly until you can lower the bucket in front of stone. Curl bucket while lowering it. The chain behind the stone will pull the stone into the bucket. Takes some practice, but works well and saves on the cussing from trying to scoop a stone into the bucket

much like vics, I do the same but have a winch on the front so i lay a good amount of cable out and then throw it up and over the pile and reel it in

By now you know the answer is "what don't you use them for". My advise is that when you put them on, use plate or some other heavy metal on the bucket between the the hooks and the bucket. There is enough force on many FELs to bend the top edge of the buckets.

Next issue is do you want a slip hook or a clevis grab hook. The slip is a great universal hook, the clevis grab will snag a chain link to get a quick tension. I have both...a big slip in the center and a clevis grab on each end. I put some channel face up on the top edge under the hooks, and made end caps to keep it looking nice.
