Best way to quickly discount a pto pump

I have a Farmhand F236 loader with a pto pump and would like to find a way to take the pump off when I take the loader off. The pump has 2 hydraulic lines that run up to the tank and value body. I was thinking of some kind of quick connect would but I wanted to ask if anyone else has done this and experiences they may have had.

So It should be disconnect.

Right now I don't have anything, I am going to hang the pump off to the side and leave the hoses attached. I would like to find a way to detach the pump and hoses and not lose all my hydraulic oil.

Yes you could use quick disconnects on the hoses but keep the following things in mind.

Quick disconnects have high pressure drop so they are rarely used on pump inlets. Inlet restrictions cause cavitation which destroys pumps.

Quick disconnect on the pump outlet should have a relief valve between the QD and pump to prevent the pump from exploding if the QD is not connected properly or becomes disconnected during operation.

What tractor is this on? your IH 1066

You should I would think have a pto quick disconnect, so the hole pump can come off the pto shaft.

Yes it is on my 1066. I would like to do away with the pto pump and go straight into my tractor's hydraulics but not sure how.

I can discount it from the shaft but want to find a save place to put it while I am haying with the tractor. Like the shop.

I am not understanding this at all. Your 1066 should have two and probably three remote hydraulic connections. The tractor hydraulic pump also has plenty of flow to run a loader. Why not just plumb the hoses to the Tractor remotes and get rid of the PTO pump completely.

Me too. I guess now he's thinking someone is going to steal the pump. I would just unhook the loader and pump. store and forget about it. I'm thinking he wants to hook into the tractor hyds and use 4 QC at the work port to unhook?
