Best weed trimmer string?

Looking for the best string trimmer string.

I am using some krinkly string but it does not unwind well at all. Stuff was made in Georgia.

I use the Stihl string, I haven’t found a trimmer head to work like it should in any major brand, they all need to design something that works better..

I use one size larger on hand-held trimmers, OEM .150" on the walk-behind. Long ago quit winding a spool much over half-way full. Don't mind re-spooling when not having to untangle a bunch first as often.

Brand never seemed to matter to me, another plus IMO to going heavier and keeping revs down. btw, for all this, I'm talking weeds around the barn and perennial rye around trees. All that said, collateral damage around flower beds can be brutal.

Not to be a smart azz but Glyphosate is the best weedeater string.

I'm partial to the Oregon Magnum 0.155 string:

It's too thick for an auto-feed head, I use a Tanaka No-Brainer head.

You cut a 16" piece, use it for a while, and then cut another piece when it wears out. It lasts a long time. Don't use it near buildings.

I've been using Weed Warrior Pulverizer and it does ok, $10/200ft. My Husqvarna trimmer head never jams but I'm pretty careful when I load it not to cross the line and never overload it.

Just try a different brand until you find one you like, shouldn't be too hard to find one.

I find the round string is better than any of the more advanced designs. The bump heads that require taking apart to roll are garbage. The self reeling models work much better

I don't promote the A site and won't post links to them here. I prefer to buy local even if from a Big Box or chain hardware store. I have no favorites on brands, but have found the lines with edges seem to work better than those that are round. They're sort of an octagon or hexagon shape.
