I have an affordable somewhat entry level 8' Land Plane for my MF-5711D that works well for its intended usage however, it is not a BOX BLADE! I need to get a box blade that will take the abuse my tractor can dish out so, ABSOLUTELY no Tractor Supply, Atwood, etc. level recommendations, please. 😉

I encounter buried stuff a lot in the ground where I work. Common things are big tree roots, large rocks, and occasionally various iron and steel products long ago buried and forgotten. For reference, "gently used" Land Pride BB35 box blades are around me for a good price but, they are all bent. The USED CAR SALESMAN at the implement dealer said I was crazy and that it was straight and true but, the straight edge out of my pickup proved I was right at which point he told me it wasn't that bad and I could probably flip the cutting blade and that would fix the problem! 🤬

So, for reference, it needs to be better than a Land Pride BB35! Perhaps a "clearing blade" is a better term than "box blade" for what I am looking for. I expect it to cost >$4K as well in an 8-foot width with a weight of around 1,500~2,000lbs. What I don't want to do is spend $3,500 and bend it in the first month of use making the replacement cost $4,000 + $3,500!

So what is out there that fits this use case? What brands or boutique builders should I consider? What sort of price range would I be looking at in the 8-foot range as well in today's market from those sources? Lastly, I am not opposed to buying used if it is STRAIGHT!

TIA,
Sid

I have a Bison rear blade that is category 2 and built like a tank weighing 1025#. I don’t own their box blade but I saw one where I bought my blade. It was built just as well as my rear blade. See if you can find a distributor for that implement brand. They aren’t cheap, but I doubt you can break or bend them.
