BH attachments.... Woods, Deere or any others?

I bet it's been asked before.... but there sure are a lot of posts to go thru. Any input would be appreciated.

Does any of the after market BH's require some "field engineering"? Do they fit or is it a compromise?

Deere BH vs everyone elses? Has anyone added a BH?

2002 JD4110, W/FEL, 60"MMM, 48"rotary

I and several others here have the 46 Deere backhoe on the 4110 and like it just fine. It's powerful, well made and fits the tractor perfecctly. It's also Deere so if anything at all goes wrong, there's no one else for the dealer to blame (although nothing has gone wrong after many hours of 46 work).

That said, the only complaint I have is that when the BH is off, it takes up a lot of room. The whole subframe (which extends all the way up to the rear FEL supports) comes off with the BH. This makes the mower easier to use and gives you maximum ground clearance for other work, but it means you have a fifteen foot BH to store.

Do yourself a favor. Buy a John deere backhoe. You may find another cheaper, but when something breaks, the tractor and backhoe manufacturer will point fingers at each other and you will be the one who suffers. I am sure there have been exceptions, but that's my story and I am sticking to it!

Same goes for loaders by the way.
