I have a DK 35 with the 2475 BH. I get loud popping noises whenever some pressure is applied, even very light digging.

The hand throttle takes an enormous amount of force to make RPM adjustments.

Low/high gear lever hardly wants to change settings even with great force applied. Cluch is pushed in!!!!

I would appreciated any constructive replies. Thanks R. Wolff

Check the bolts where your subframe and backhoe come together. Make sure they are tight ( I mean real tight, breakbar and cheater pipe tight). If it can move there it will make noises.

Mine is the same way. I like it that way so it stays where I put it. Pushing on the foot throttle while setting the hand throttle helps ..

Can't help you here.. Maybe try lubing up the linkage..

Buy yourself a good couple of cans of PB Blaster and use it to lubricate all the linkages, especially the linkage that runs from the low/high range selector. These are new parts and will tend to be a little stiff until you use them for a while.
As for the hand throttle, I agee with Vince, it shouldn't be really easy to move so that it doesn't vibrate from where you set it. Do use the foot throttle to bring it up to speed and then set the hand throttle to that setting. You can also spay the PB Blaster on the throttle linkage just to ease it a bit.

Thank you John. Please tell me what kind of lubricant the blaster is. 23 yrs of Lyme disease have taken a toll on my Brain. I know the hand throttle should be firm but having to put everything I can muster into it is too firm.
BTW I put over 5hrs on the clock Saturday and when I was done I could hardly get off the "Beast" Thanks again

It's another penetrating type lube similar to, but to me, better than WD40. It can be found in most auto parts stores, and probably Walmart.

The hand throttle was tight on my LK3054 too, in the end I took it appart and set the tension on the spring washer my self. I also greased the washer so it would be more consistant. In fairness, it took me three tries to get it to where it would hold, but wasn't too stiff. I have not had to adjust it since, but as John said, a little lube is needed now and then (I use spray grease).

Surprisingly I haven't seen that spray grease much and forget that it's available. It's pretty good stuff and would probably do a good job on most of the linkages. I just wish I could think of it when I'm out in a store that would sell it!

Sounds similar to the way mine was. Mine ended up breaking the role pin that holds it on. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I took the top part of my dash off and looked at how it worked. I saw where the collar of the hand throttle rotates on a rod and put some grease on it. I could tell it had grease there before.

I put a new role pin in it, and it works great. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I did not adjust the spring or anything.

You know RedDog, I recently had my dash off to replace a tachometer cable. And I never thought to check out my hand throttle linkage while I was in there. DUH..

See, you guys have these fancy-styled machines where the levers go into the dash - if you had an old LK, you could just look at it where it's bolted to the side! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Ahh, simplicity!
