bh75 leak down time.

I finally parked my tractor at around 9pm last night. I didn't install the stabilizer pins, didn't think it was necessary. This morning I find that the hoe had completely leaked down overnight.

Is this normal?

That about right for these BH's. I have a short chain that I install to hold the stabilizers up. I always set boom and dipper on ground so they do not fall on something.

I parked my B3030 the other night with the BH75, normally I put a strap around the stabilizers and put the pin in the boom. Well the kid was screaming and mama was yelling at me to get in the house and in haste I forgot to do it. I woke up in a panic the next morning because I parked it awfully close to my boat, I was worried that something would leak down and hit it, to my surprise it didn't move at all. My BX23 BH used to leak down completely over night, stabilizers, boom everything. I actually began to think that something was wrong with my BH75. In any event my BX used to leak down and I never had a problem. Now with my BH75 I will put a strap around the stabilizers and the pin in every time I park, just to be sure, I am sure it will leak down someday and still work just fine.

My advice is to always keep the pin in that keeps the boom from dropping down if you are talking about that too. I think you will find that most of the BH75's leak down with pin out, maybe at a little differnt rates but seen it hear many posts and mine will do the same since i got it and dealer and kubota says to be expected. Stablizers do leak down some like others said just tie up.

It was the boom, not the stabilizers. I know now that it is necessary to put the pin back in.
I just wasn't sure why it went down in such a little time. I have left the fel up a bit but it didn't seem to budge overnight.

Went round and round with KUBOTA about leak down, they say it is normal, after all we did not buy a REAL TRACTOR or attachments. These toys were never meant to operate as commercial equipment.

They finally put a new front end loader on my tractor (one that had been on another tractor long enough for the protective cloth on the hydraulic lines to fade from the sunlight), but it does not leak down in a matter of minutes. The BH still needs to be pinned.

Most cylinders do leak down. It was discussed here earlier with john deere tractors and I think it was about 6" an hour that is allowable to them.

My woods bh80x backhoe leaks down - I gather its typical for CUT backhoes.

Loader leaks down too, but a bit slower.

Why pin the hoe? I just put the bucket on the ground, so there's no further down to go.

How much is too much? Too my mind, shouldn't be noticeable when you are using it.
