Hello Friends: I have a very small issue concerning the stabilizer hydraulics on my BH75A. The stabilizers work fine without any problem. But I have noticed that after storing/parking the tractor overnight. with both arms up, one of the stabilizers tends to be lowered down in the morning. It appears to be more of an issue on colder days. I've noticed a similar issue with the bucket. I tilt the bucket up and then overnight it drops down. Should I be resting the bucket on the gravel when not in use? Really could use your advice. One of the stabilizer arms appears to from upright to about 30 degrees lower the next morning. Same for the bucket.

I am just wondering if this is something to be concerned about or is the pressure change in the hydraulics indicative of some repairs that are needed. I bought the tractor two years ago but due to some serious health situations, I never had much time to use the machinery for it's intended purposes. It's great to be alive is all I'll say about that, lol.

It has been used for very small jobs when I physically felt up to it but not for long periods of time. That will change starting next spring. It has 30 hours on it currently, lol.

It's parked under a canopy and tarp when not in use so I wasn't sure if the cold has anything to do with it or not. Thought I'd ask one of the experts here.

Thanks for any insight, Folks. And Happy New Year to All! ;)

It could be either the cylinders or the valve leaking internally. A lot of hyd equipment will leak down over time. The wear, seals, o-rings, etc, will determine the rate of drop. If I put my bucket full up, it will be on the ground in the morning.

It may leak down even after rebuilding the cyl, or valve.

Yup what JJ said. Its somewhat normal but can be aggravating for having leakdowns.
You really should be in the habit to put the bucket pointed down on ground to keep water out, and prevent someone walking into the bucket onto the shins. Putting bucket down is more of a saftey standpoint then anything else.

However as for your BH stablizers leaking down only on one side, try to check the hydraulic connections on that ram. Loosen it first and then tighten. I wouldn't try to tighten it anymore without first loosen it up otherwise you could mess up the connections. All it takes is a loose fitting to let air in to let it leak down, but when warm fittings are tight but doesnt leak. After checking the fittings, cycle the ram a few times for leaks and purge the air.

Does this clear the fog around internal leakage and cylinder drift!!??

This has got to be about the most common TBN query. If you can't actually
SEE the motion as one of the cylinders bleeds down, it is probably in the
normal range.

At least one TBN member (3RRL) has added pilot-operated check valves
(POCVs) to his outrigger cylinders because the bleed-down during use
got annoying, and he now can store his Nardi hoe suspended on his
outriggers for months. That's more than most of us want to do, however.

Sounds normal as others have stated, but I will add that a simple chain or strap between the two outriggers will solve that problem and keep them from getting in the way when they do leak down.
